3D printed ducks. Released into the wild.
Register your duck, give it a QR code, and set it free. When someone finds it, they scan it β and you watch it travel the world.
How it all started
Papa 3D printed ducks for a family vacation Easter egg hunt. In September 2026, 7 grandchildren released 100 ducks across Madison County, Ohio β and Trak The Flok was born.

Four simple steps to join the flock.
Print your duck
Download our free STL files and 3D print your duck at home or at a local maker space. Drill a small hole in the base to hide your QR tag inside.
Register it
Give your duck a name and a unique ID. We generate a QR code tag for it.
Release it
Leave your duck somewhere for a stranger to find β a park, a cafΓ©, a bookshelf.
Track it
When someone finds it and scans the QR code, you see exactly where it ended up.
Keeping your QR tag with your duck
Tape doesn't survive long outdoors. Here are the methods we recommend β from hidden and adhesive-free to quick and permanent.
Drill a hole in the base, roll and insert
Drill a small hole into the base of your duck β just wide enough to fit a rolled-up piece of paper. Print your QR tag, laminate it (or slip it into a small zip-lock bag), roll it into a tight tube, and slide it inside. The hole keeps it snug, dry, and completely hidden. No adhesive needed, and it survives rain, sun, and years outdoors.
UV resin coat
Stick the QR label to a flat surface on the duck, then seal it with a thin layer of UV-cure resin. Cures in seconds with a UV lamp or pen.
Epoxy pour
Apply the label, then pour a small dome of clear casting resin over it. Rock-hard, glossy, and fully waterproof once cured.
Waterproof paper + super glue
Print your QR tag on waterproof printable paper, then super glue it directly to the base of the duck. Fast, flat, and built to last outdoors.
Laser engrave
If you have access to a laser cutter, engrave the QR code directly into the plastic. No label at all β it's part of the duck forever.
