Our story

We're Just Here for the Ducks

What started as a grandpa's vacation surprise for the grandkids turned into something none of us saw coming — a community of duck trackers spread across the globe.

How It All Started

It started with a family vacation and a grandpa with a 3D printer. Before the trip, Papa printed a small flock of ducks and hid them around the vacation rental each morning — a little Easter egg hunt to kick off every day for the grandkids. Seven grandchildren. Zero ducks left unfound. As the vacation wound down, a new idea took shape. Instead of bringing the ducks back home, why not leave them out in the world and see where they ended up? That question turned into something bigger: what if the ducks could actually report back? The ducks were reprinted — this time stamped with the Facebook page Trak The Flok — and in September 2026, all 7 grandchildren fanned out across Madison County, Ohio, and released 100 original ducks into the wild. Parks, benches, trailheads, storefronts — anywhere a curious stranger might find one. That was the beginning. What started as a vacation surprise for seven kids became a community of duck trackers, finders, and makers. Every sighting that comes in is a small reminder that the world is full of curious, kind people — and that sometimes the best adventures start with a plastic duck and a wild idea.

Our Mission

Joy First

Every duck released is a small act of delight. We build things that make strangers smile.

Family Roots

This whole thing started as a gift for grandkids. That spirit of family fun is baked into everything we do.

Make Things

We believe in the magic of creating something with your hands. A 3D printer, a spool of filament, and an idea is all it takes.

Community Driven

The flock grows because of the people in it — the makers, the finders, and everyone in between.

The Humans Behind the Ducks

Small team. Big flock.

Papa

Founder & Original Duck Printer

The grandpa behind it all. Started with one printer, a spool of yellow PETG, and a vacation idea that got completely out of hand. Wouldn't change a thing.

The Grandkids

Original Beta Testers

Found every duck on the first morning. Demanded more. Unknowingly launched a global tracking platform. Currently unaware of their role in all of this.

The Flock

Community & Duck Spotters

Every person who has ever found a duck, scanned a QR code, and taken a moment to report a sighting. You're the reason this works.

Ready to Release Your Duck?
